About Muact

Muact started with a simple question: why are the most capable AI tools only available to developers?

If you've seen what Claude Code or Cursor can do—reading files, remembering context, taking action, adapting to how you work—you know the gap between that and a chatbot is enormous. But to use those tools, you need to be a programmer.

We think everyone should have access to an AI agent that actually does things. One that remembers what you tell it, organizes information the way you want, follows up on reminders, and grows with you over time.

And we think you should be able to see how it works. No black box. Ask your agent "show me your brain" and it shows you—every file, every instruction, every log. You can change anything. You own it.

Your agent runs on its own server. It stores everything in simple text files (markdown) that you can read and edit. When you text or email your agent, it reads those files, figures out what to do, and responds. It can create new files, update existing ones, set reminders, and learn new skills when you describe what you need.

Muact is built by a small team exploring how AI can genuinely help people without making them dependent. We're not trying to replace your judgment—we're trying to give you better tools for thinking and organizing.
